Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, coach, and grow a senior team spanning platform engineering and technical program management, setting direction and expectations.
  • •Own the AI access layer end to end: identity/authentication for AI tools, connector/integration allowlisting, tiered permissions, and guardrails for safe adoption.
  • •Own AI cost engineering: attribution down to team/individual, right-size model selection, traceable agent/automation spend, and budget thresholds with Finance.
  • •Own the MCP layer for internal tools end to end, including commissioning/decommissioning, governance, and downstream impact assessment before migrations.
  • •Write and hold the platform charter and convene the cross-functional forum to coordinate departmental AI efforts and prevent duplication.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years in platform, infrastructure, or systems engineering, including 3+ years managing and developing engineers.
  • •Experience standing up an internal AI or developer platform function from a blank page (charter, intake, roadmap).
  • •Fluency in AI cost engineering: usage attribution, model right-sizing, token economics, and agent cost traceability.
  • •Hands-on technical depth across LLM platform tooling, agent and MCP architecture, identity/OAuth, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
  • •Ability to operate through influence across Engineering, GRC, Security, Data, Finance, and People, while holding scope and scope boundaries.
