Job Summary

Lead the origination of residential mortgage loans by managing Mortgage Loan Originators and meeting personal and team sales and cross-selling objectives. Own the mortgage pipeline from application through closing, build referral relationships with realtors and builders, and partner with Fulfillment Operations to drive closed volume. Drive a sales culture, ensure compliance with state and federal lending regulations, monitor quality and customer experience, and coach, recruit, and develop the team.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage and lead a team of at least 5 Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) and oversee daily production.
•Own residential mortgage production from application through closing on personal production.
•Develop and foster referral source relationships (e.g., realtors, builders, personal and professional contacts).
•Hold business plan reviews, build strategic and tactical plans to drive volume growth, and participate in sales calls with MLOs.
•Ensure compliance, monitor quality and customer service performance (including Gallup customer engagement), and act as an intermediary for loan issues with processing and underwriting managers.

Key Requirements

•2-4 years residential mortgage sales experience required.
•In-depth knowledge of conventional, government, and portfolio mortgage guidelines.
•Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
•Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
•PC proficiency in Windows applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with mortgage origination systems and automated decisioning tools required.
