Key Responsibilities

  • •Direct the operational shift activities of the power plant to support safe, reliable, efficient unit operation in compliance with environmental regulations.
  • •Administer and monitor equipment safety lockout/tagout and promote accident prevention through briefings, safety meetings, audits, and investigations.
  • •Supervise operating and fuel handling personnel during off-shift periods; direct maintenance personnel for priority work and monitor maintenance activities.
  • •Act as incident commander and direct station Fire Brigade activities during plant emergencies.
  • •Provide administrative and technical support for operations and fuel handling including timekeeping, scheduling, shift/environmental logs, work requests, and equipment testing/inspections.
