Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide day-to-day leadership and coordination to support organizations and suppliers applying advanced coating systems.
  • •Develop, train, and qualify advanced coating equipment and processes, including surface preparation, and optimize process parameters.
  • •Set up coating-department infrastructure for data collection of coating processes.
  • •Provide daily technical support to the shop floor for thermal spray challenges during the repair process.
  • •Manage projects and lead lean manufacturing, project management, and quality improvement efforts, including introducing new capital equipment.

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced degree with 5+ years of engineering, aerospace, manufacturing, or aviation experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • •Experience with thermal spray coatings specifications and complex techniques, particularly in an FAA Repair Station MRO environment (preferred).
  • •Strong understanding of manufacturing and/or repair process life cycle (preferred).
  • •Ability to read and interpret technical data, engine manuals, and blueprints.
  • •Advanced skills in robotic programming, including programming an ASEA robot via S4 control (a plus).
