Key Responsibilities

  • •Diagnose and resolve complex metallurgical and corrosion challenges with industry experts.
  • •Lead material selection and corrosion control decisions for new designs, revamps, and operating units.
  • •Conduct hands-on troubleshooting via field inspections, unit walkdowns, and on-site failure investigations.
  • •Perform and interpret failure analyses including metallography, hardness testing, and materials characterization.
  • •Contribute to standards through participation in NACE/AMPP, API, and ASME committees, and provide technical mentorship to early-career engineers and cross-functional teams.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science/Engineering, or related field.
  • •10-15 years minimum experience within the refining, petrochemical, or gas processing or energy industry.
  • •Advanced degree in metallurgy/materials science/engineering or related field is valued.
  • •Familiarity with NACE, API, and ASME standards & codes; participation in NACE or API committees and/or certifications are a plus.
  • •Practical familiarity with welding, including reviewing WPS/PQRs, evaluating weld quality, and supporting field repairs or fabrication activities.
