Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as escalation for broken Terraform, pipelines, or deviations from documented process, diagnosing issues and unblocking teams.
  • •Build and maintain Terraform for provisioning AWS database infrastructure (RDS/Aurora) and the GitLab/Harness CI/CD pipelines that deploy it.
  • •Maintain tooling for database user and schema management, ensuring correct integration with managed databases.
  • •Automate recurring operational work using Python or Go.
  • •Build incident-response and query-routing tooling, and improve documentation including runbooks and disaster recovery procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience with AWS and Terraform in a production environment.
  • •Provision AWS infrastructure through a CI/CD pipeline such as GitLab, Github, Harness, or equivalent.
  • •Familiarity with RDS/Aurora operations including backup/restore, replication, and disaster recovery at the infrastructure level.
  • •Solid understanding of AWS security and compliance controls (for example IAM, KMS, Security Groups, and Network ACLs).
  • •Experience automating operational tasks with Python or Go.
