Key Responsibilities

  • •Improve transparency on Airwallex’s global cash positions, funding needs, risk exposures, and control environment by developing reporting, analytics, and KPIs across entities and enabling standardisation and automation of processes
  • •Perform data-driven financial and reconciliation analysis on cash flows, payment volumes, safeguarding balances, and variances to produce actionable insights for Treasury, Finance, and business decisions
  • •Design, implement, and continuously enhance safeguarding and client money controls (including account segregation, daily reconciliations, variance monitoring, and remediation workflows) to meet regulatory requirements and internal risk appetite
  • •Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations to define reconciliation and safeguarding requirements, shape data models and tooling, and design scalable operational workflows for new products and geographies
  • •Drive process standardisation and automation across Treasury and financial operations to reduce manual intervention, lower risk, and minimise reconciliation backlogs and ageing

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Financial Engineering or similar
  • •1-2 years of experience in an analytical role within Financial Services, Internet or Fintech industries preferred
  • •Strong interest and foundational knowledge of finance and treasury, banking/payment products, and accounting standards
  • •Strong data analytics capabilities with experience in end-to-end analytical processes (data gathering, analysis, presentation, execution)
  • •Experience with programming languages such as SQL, R, and Python and analytics tools like Tableau, Looker, Data Studio is a plus
