Job Summary

Provide guidance and leadership for the site’s safety process. Investigate near misses, first aid cases, recordables, lost day injuries, and vehicular accidents, and ensure recommendations are tracked to closure. Conduct periodic safety and health audits, deliver safety training (including OSHA-related topics), and maintain accurate accident and training/corrective action records. Support monthly training completion while working varying shifts and weekends as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide guidance, direction, and leadership to the site’s safety process.
•Investigate near misses, first aid cases, recordables, lost day injuries, and vehicular accidents within 24 hours; track closure on recommendations.
•Spend time visible in the processing plant and other site locations.
•Conduct periodic safety and health audits and track findings to ensure closure.
•Conduct authorized safety training (e.g., Powered Industrial Trucks, Lockout Tag out, Fall Protection, Respiratory Protection, Confined Space Entry) and ensure monthly training completion; maintain accident and training/corrective action databases.

Key Requirements

•At least three years of directly related experience in an industrial environment.
•Ability to accurately record and communicate safety incidences to complex management.
•Solid knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; SAP experience is a plus.
•Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
