Key Responsibilities

  • •Advance existing and planned payments infrastructure in the US and Canada and support payments strategy for cross-border services.
  • •Lead direct and partner-based payment systems integration efforts, and execute projects for infrastructure growth, risk management, governance, and regulatory/license expansion.
  • •Own key bank and payment partner relationships, collaborating with internal cross-functional teams and advocating for Wise’s products and compliance goals.
  • •Drive due diligence, due diligence processes, and commercial negotiations; review and improve key metrics to grow Wise’s volume.
  • •Work with product leads to define opportunities for North America products, including support for partnerships for debit and credit cards and independent execution of priority workstreams (including bank/trust licenses deliverables).

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 175,000 - 240,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in finance, law, accounting, economics, or business management.
  • •7+ years of experience in payments companies, transaction/corporate/investment banking, fintech, financial consulting, or a financial regulator.
  • •Deep understanding of payment systems and FX regulation, including BSA/AML/KYC and risk management controls, with experience across US and Canada financial systems.
  • •Ability to structure and lead external relationships (banks, regulators, vendors) and cross-functional projects, with executive-level written and verbal communication.
  • •Strong analytical and numerical aptitude, critical thinking, and proven ability to negotiate and build buy-in with internal and external stakeholders.
