Key Responsibilities

  • •Carry out laboratory tests on soils, aggregates, concrete, and other construction materials to known industry standards.
  • •Participate in CCIL certifications as needed and ensure prompt, accurate testing and reporting of results.
  • •Complete accurate and concise data gathering for test methods and support efficient data entry and final reporting.
  • •Support equipment calibration, maintenance, and laboratory housekeeping to maintain a safe working environment.
  • •Support sample management and safe materials handling for shipping, receiving, logging, storage, and disposal of samples.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 47,200 - 65,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Successful completion of post-secondary technical education in Civil Engineering/Technology or a related discipline.
  • •1–5 years of experience working in a soils laboratory (field materials testing experience with soils, aggregates, concrete, or asphalt materials also considered).
  • •Sound knowledge of standardized lab testing procedures (ASTM, AASHTO, CSA).
  • •Experience with CCIL laboratory certification processes, equipment maintenance and calibration, and lab proficiency testing programs.
  • •Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) with data entry, interpretation, and report generating skills.
