Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide proactive strategic leadership for the geotechnical scientific discipline to ensure project and work site deliverables are achieved.
  • •Foster compliance with applicable Federal, State, and Local environmental laws, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • •Develop and continuously improve discipline certifications, accreditations, and value proposition.
  • •Schedule discipline meetings and provide updates and recommendations to drive expertise and innovation into project work.
  • •Interpret and summarize geologic and related data for sound scientific and regulatory conclusions; mentor staff and support proposal scope, timelines, pricing, and budgets.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering (or closely related); master’s preferred.
  • •15+ years of engineer experience in a corporate environment.
  • •3+ years as a Geotechnical Engineer supporting licensing and design of nuclear power facilities.
  • •Experience under Nuclear Quality Assurance Programs meeting 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and ASME NQA-1.
  • •Experience with field data collection (e.g., soil borings, rock coring, CPTs, geophysical methods) and preparing NRC Safety Analysis Reports; Licensed PE or ability to obtain PE.
