Job Summary

Design, implement, simulate, and test DCS/PLC control and graphic solutions for power plant applications on Emerson’s Ovation platform. Lead site walk-downs and I/O database preparation, develop power plant controls and protection systems, and perform process simulation and testing. Support design reviews and Factory Acceptance Tests with customers, oversee I/O interface verification, and supervise commissioning and start-up while ensuring safety and security compliance.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct site walk-downs for data collection and I/O database preparation, including database partitioning from third-party DCS/PLC systems.
•Design and implement power plant controls and protection systems, including process sequencing and testing.
•Perform process simulation and testing and manage design review activities including DRM and Pre-FAT.
•Support Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and cleanup after FAT, and verify functional testing of I/O interfaces to field devices.
•Supervise control system installation, commissioning, and start-up while ensuring compliance with internal and customer safety and security requirements.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in ECE, EEE, I&C, or E&I.
•7–10 years of experience in power plant process, project engineering, and commissioning.
•Process knowledge of HRSG, Boiler, and BOP control systems.
•Experience with control design, implementation, process sequencing, and protection philosophies for fossil-fired and combined cycle power plants.
•Proficiency with ISA and SAMA logic symbols and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), plus electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics.
