Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform technical inspections on heavy equipment, tactical vehicles, and material handling equipment during the turn-in process.
  • •Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system faults and conduct preventive and corrective maintenance per Army TMs, DA PAM 750-8, and AR 750-1.
  • •Perform repairs and adjustments on engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, steering, suspension, and hydraulic systems; service MHE (e.g., forklifts, cranes, loaders).
  • •Record inspections, maintenance, and repairs using Army-approved forms/systems; maintain work orders, parts requisitions, and job completion records in line with ISO 9001:2015 QMS.
  • •Coordinate with supply technicians and inspectors during mass turn-in events; prepare equipment for storage, transfer, or disposal, and follow safety and compliance requirements (OSHA/Army/environmental/HAZMAT).

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in heavy equipment or military maintenance preferred.
  • •3–5 years of experience as a mechanic on military or heavy equipment.
  • •Prior U.S. Army or contractor experience with tactical vehicles, combat systems, or MHE strongly preferred.
  • •Knowledge of U.S. Army maintenance standards, technical manuals, and PMCS requirements.
  • •Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and read/interpret Army TMs, schematics, and technical drawings.
