Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle in compliance with applicable state and federal transportation laws and safety regulations.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely along required routes, obeying traffic laws.
  • •Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading/unloading areas, follow loading crew signals, and support loading/unloading using specialized equipment when needed.
  • •Maintain required delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and deliver documentation to the appropriate shipping office or staff.
  • •Perform routine service checks on trucks (e.g., oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle operated.
  • •Pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations, and pass a DOT physical (trucks over 10k lbs).
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Use strong interpersonal and customer service skills to speak professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Meet physical requirements, including prolonged periods sitting in a cab and the ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
