Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and execute translations into traditional Chinese for HSBC Holdings plc annual/interim/earnings and Pillar 3 materials, plus related regulatory documents.
  • •Oversee translation of shareholder communications (e.g., AGM notice, meeting scripts, executive and Board changes) and handle other ad-hoc requests as needed.
  • •Ensure Chinese-language outputs meet prescribed compliance and information risk requirements and achieve zero-fault performance.
  • •Sign off Chinese translations of regulatory documents on stakeholders’ behalf and support in-house translation/vetting for sensitive materials.
  • •Lead vendor and freelancer management (up to ~12 providers) to deliver accurate, timely translations in line with HSBC requirements and timelines.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience translating corporate and financial communications from English into traditional Chinese.
  • •Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • •Exceptional translation quality for complex financial and regulatory content, with strong accuracy judgement.
  • •Ability to work to fixed deadlines under time pressure and manage multiple concurrent priorities.
  • •Strong stakeholder management and proven ability to coordinate with external service providers and vendors.
