Job Summary

Perform low to high complexity diagnostic testing and provide phlebotomy services, including pediatric and adult draws for patients with difficult veins. Actively participate in analytical work, monitor and document results, and troubleshoot test performance issues. Use the Laboratory Information System (LIS), support inventory management, and operate complex automated lab equipment. Ensure specimen handling, documentation, and clinical data release comply with JCI, CAP, and ISO15189 standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform and provide analysis for low to high complexity diagnostic testing in the relevant section.
•Provide phlebotomy services, including pediatric and adult phlebotomy and support for difficult blood draws.
•Verify critical results, document procedures accurately, and ensure appropriate follow-up for abnormal findings.
•Operate complex automated laboratory equipment and precision instruments; use computer software as needed for testing workflows.
•Ensure specimen collections and processing comply with JCI, CAP, and ISO15189; plan, perform, and evaluate testing analysis and quality control activities.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 4 years’ experience in clinical laboratories as a licensed Clinical Scientist or Technologist (Required).
•Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience in a pediatric hospital (Required).
•Minimum 3 years as a technologist in a CAP or ISO15189 laboratory (Preferred).
•Minimum 2 years in GCC (Preferred).
•Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
