Key Responsibilities

  • •Communicate with customers via chat, email, and phone to resolve technical problems, threats, or attacks.
  • •Analyze traffic signatures and attributes to determine what is malicious versus legitimate.
  • •Advise customers on DDoS mitigation for OSI layers 3, 4, and 7 using tools such as Magic Transit, Network Firewall, WAF, IP reputation, packet inspection, blocklisting, allowlisting, and rate limiting.
  • •Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to mitigate attacks, suggest mitigation steps, and apply appropriate mitigations when applicable.
  • •Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to improve products and tools used for mitigation and protection.

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced understanding of modern internet protocols like TCP and UDP and fundamental Internet knowledge (OSI Model).
  • •Experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues, including BGP routing and GRE tunnels.
  • •Strong computer networking fundamentals with tools such as iptables and looking glass.
  • •Ability to analyze packet capture data and compare traffic signatures/attributes (IP addresses, HTTP headers, cookies, JavaScript footprints).
  • •Command-line proficiency and troubleshooting experience with tools like curl, dig, traceroute, openssl, and git; plus DNS, SSL/TLS, and HTTP troubleshooting.
