Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead technical aspects of assigned public safety communications projects until system acceptance as Engineer of Record, working with field teams across project management and systems engineering.
  • •Design and implement radio network solutions, including infrastructure, subscribers, mobile backhaul, and WAN/CEN networks.
  • •Conduct high level customer and consultant interactions such as design reviews, witnessed staging/acceptance testing, coverage acceptance, live upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • •Perform system buildout, configuration, and acceptance testing in both lab staging and field environments.
  • •Support radio coverage testing, frequency analysis and interference mitigation, system fleet map preparation, documentation, and live system cutovers/upgrades.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline with 7+ years of engineering/technical experience, or 10 years of engineering/technical experience.
  • •Experience designing and implementing radio network infrastructure (subscribers, mobile backhaul, WAN/CEN networks) and leading technical project activities through system acceptance.
  • •Ability to perform system buildout, configuration, and acceptance testing in lab staging and field environments.
  • •Knowledge of radio frequency engineering, land/mobile radio engineering, and P25 land mobile radio terminology and subscriber provisioning methods.
  • •Experience with networking and related systems (firewalls, routers, switches; troubleshooting IP networks and network design).
