Job Summary

Join the Extensible Operating System (EOS) team in Sydney and help deliver the foundational software powering Arista’s switching products. You’ll gather requirements with engineers and marketing, write functional/specification documents and test plans, and develop C/C++/Python code to extend EOS features focused on Ethernet switches. •Develop product features as part of the EOS software development process.
•Write C/C++/Python code to extend existing features or add new ones in the EOS codebase.
•Create functional specifications, design specifications, and test plans for upcoming projects.
•Build and run automated tests, monitor execution, and triage and fix issues found by tests.
•Partner with customers to triage and fix problems in their networks, owning projects from definition to deployment.

Key Requirements

•Have a Bachelor of Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering and have graduated recently (postgraduate degrees also encouraged).
•Demonstrate strong understanding of systems programming through relevant coursework or other experience.
•Have strong interest in operating systems or low-level programming.
•Be fluent in C or C++.
•Have solid understanding of data structures and algorithms and care about writing well-tested, maintainable, high-quality code.
