Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise catch operations and schedule drivers and loads to meet production schedules.
  • •Act as liaison between Wayne Farms and contracted catching crew laborers; prepare daily catch and plant receiving schedules.
  • •Coordinate and communicate schedules to drivers and contractors, including projecting product weights on farms.
  • •Supervise truck drivers, weigh masters, and truck shop personnel; oversee time and attendance and personnel development.
  • •Ensure adherence to safety program, DOT and D7I compliance, and USDA/animal welfare guidelines; oversee sanitation and disinfection; compile and submit daily/weekly reports to Accounting.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years’ live poultry experience in a similar environment, or an Associate’s degree in Poultry Science, Agricultural Science, or related field.
  • •Poultry science knowledge with solid foundational understanding.
  • •Highly effective interpersonal communication skills and strong leadership skills.
  • •Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and interpret data to draw logical conclusions.
  • •Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including reliability and ability to work unsupervised.
