Key Responsibilities

  • •Own platform technical strategy for the Billing System and lead its next chapter.
  • •Build and govern the orchestration layer that codifies appointment financial states and allowed actions.
  • •Define technical direction for state-machine design, immutable snapshot/explainability guarantees, and shadow-mode simulation.
  • •Develop guardrail APIs and related automation (payer remittance ingestion, refunds/recoups, and safe non-happy-path reopening).
  • •Partner with Finance and Accounting to deliver systems output used as the company’s financial record.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager, leading platform/infrastructure work beyond a single team with a broad cross-org mandate.
  • •5–7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with backend and distributed systems depth (e.g., financial state machines, event-driven architectures, workflow orchestration, or high-reliability data pipelines).
  • •Experience leading platform work for other engineering teams by defining contracts, setting standards, and building behind guardrails.
