Job Summary

Operate heavy-duty delivery vehicles to transport construction equipment safely and on time. Use real-time technology to access fleet locations, work orders, and delivery details, while maneuvering trucks and trailers for loading and unloading. Maintain required shipping paperwork, perform routine truck checks, and support yard loading plans. Work a Monday–Friday schedule with possible on-call arrangements and overtime after 40 hours.

Job Function: Transportation & Fleet Operations

Key Responsibilities

•Operate vehicles according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
•Transport loads safely and on time, following traffic laws and safety regulations.
•Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
•Assist with loading and unloading using specialized equipment when warranted; return equipment to designated areas.
•Maintain shipping documentation (invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork) and perform routine truck service checks.

Key Requirements

•Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or a chauffeur’s license appropriate for the weight of the vehicle to be operated.
•Must pass background and drug testing required by federal and/or state DOT regulations.
•Must pass a DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs).
•Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
•Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
