Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and develop the mechanical components for the next module/chassis, considering structure, cooling, EMC, safety, manufacturability, cost, appearance, and tolerances.
  • •Create 3D CAD models and detailed drawings using Creo to enable prototyping and manufacturing.
  • •Lead and participate in cross-functional design reviews and manage BOM structure and product releases (PLM/Agile).
  • •Provide PCB/ECAD interface drawings and collaborate with electrical teams to address placement and fabrication concerns.
  • •Work with contract manufacturers and suppliers to address DFM issues and support lab validation, including prototype testing and supplier expedites.
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering + 7 years’ experience.
  • •Experience in mechanical design of computer/network equipment for data centers is preferred.
  • •Experience with ECO, BOM and Deviation processes (Agile experience a plus).
  • •Experience using ProEngineer (PTC Creo) is a plus, including Creo Simulate (Mechanica).
  • •Experience with thermal simulation, air flow testing, and liquid cooling systems a plus.
