Lead cross-discipline project controls teams for a nuclear-focused energy/renewables portfolio, delivering planning, cost, risk and reporting services across complex programmes. Define performance management cadences, governance and assurance, and ensure data drives management decisions to meet time, cost and quality targets. Use Primavera P6, Power BI and Excel; mentor the client team and collaborate with suppliers in a hybrid office setting (Newcastle/North West).

Key Responsibilities

•Lead cross-discipline teams of project controls professionals to drive delivery of robust project controls services and continuous improvement in project controls processes.
•Define and implement project controls approaches across the project, programme and portfolio levels to enable effective decision making.
•Define governance and assurance processes around project controls products and ensure adherence to contract processes (NEC or FIDIC).
•Coordinate scope, cost, risk and schedule integration and provide delivery insight to support decisions.
•Train and coach client teams and less experienced members on performance and reporting management processes and practices.

Key Requirements

•Significant experience applying multiple project controls disciplines (planning, cost estimation, cost management, risk management or reporting) across projects throughout the lifecycle
•Strong communication and leadership with ability to influence, manage, motivate, coach and develop a team
•Will be able to obtain BPSS level security clearance
•Member of a professional body e.g., Association for Project Management or Project Management Institute
•Experience using project controls software (Primavera P6, Active Risk Manager, Ecosys, etc)
