Job Summary

Technical leader for the development of ETL and data warehouse build projects that enhance or add functionality to a Synchrony data warehouse application. Own ETL deliverables end-to-end, oversee vendor designs, and certify requirements, coding, testing, validation (QA), and production promotion. Ensure compliance with data governance, architecture, technology, and security standards, and drive improvements to efficiency, operating expense, and warehouse performance using tools like Ab Initio and PySpark.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead development of data warehouse transformation efforts, providing technical oversight and process architecture for multiple build projects.
•Own ETL deliverables for build projects and govern design strategy, software change control, and production promotion processes (including Ab Initio and DW technology).
•Oversee vendor work on build projects, reviewing designs and ensuring requirements are met.
•Review and certify IT estimates, requirements, design, coding, and testing deliverables; oversee project validation (QA) and production promotion.
•Ensure compliance with data governance, architecture, technology, and security standards; drive efficiency, reduce operating expense, and improve data warehouse performance.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or MCA with 8 years of information technology experience, including at least 4 years in data management.
•Minimum 4 years’ experience with ETL tools such as Abinitio, Py Spark or Informatica.
•Expertise in Unix scripting, SQL, Ab Initio, and Py Spark.
•Experience in data architecture and data modelling.
•Experience in data management within the financial services industry.
