Job Summary

Install, commission, diagnose, repair, and start up commercial HVAC systems while planning and completing assigned on-site projects. Read construction drawings and specifications to mount and install equipment, perform site surveys, and support replacements and modifications. Maintain inventory and job documentation, provide customer training and technical support, and ensure compliance with internal processes. Keep current on Trane products, including installation of direct digital control systems.

Key Responsibilities

•Install, commission, diagnose, repair, and start up HVAC systems using knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, air distribution, controls, and mechanical layouts.
•Plan and complete assigned projects and activities in a timely manner, including preparing for on-site installation and coordinating with other trades.
•Use hand tools and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications to mount, hang, fit, and install equipment and systems.
•Maintain assigned inventory and equipment stock and document job activities, including daily time, progress, duration, and required paperwork.
•Provide customer training and follow-up training, provide technical support, and ensure customer satisfaction through troubleshooting and repairs at the customer’s location.

Travel: Medium travel

Salary: USD 28.96 - 39.02 hourly

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma or equivalent and typically 2-5 years of experience in Commercial HVAC Installation; technical school/formal training preferred.
•Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficiency with handheld computers (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
•State Contractor Licenses preferred (e.g., HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer).
•Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations in the previous 3 years.
•Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as required.
