Job Summary

Lead the quality materials program for leather at Hermès Maroquinerie Sellerie, ensuring material quality from development to production and final customer. Act as ambassador for leather materials, collaborate with Purchasing, Development and Suppliers, define material test requirements, monitor supplier performance, and drive quality improvements across lifecycle from new developments to life-to-production changes.

Key Responsibilities

•Ambassador for the material within Hermès and with partner suppliers, ensuring in-depth knowledge of leather and its requirements (articles, selections, physico-mechanical performances, innocuity)
•Lead life-cycle supplier support to ensure compliance with requirements and signatures of CDCs (Achat, Innocuité) and proper execution of changes in production
•Collaborate with Quality, Development and Purchasing to align on material standards, tests, and risk analyses during development and industrialization
•Manage non-conformities and alerts, driving timely decision-making and corrective actions with suppliers
•Define and monitor improvement plans with suppliers, share scorecards, and support quality assurance deployment across supplier networks

Key Requirements

•Engineer by training with at least 6 years in a technical-industrial environment
•Strong knowledge of leather materials, their properties, testing requirements and compliance
•Ability to develop and apply problem-solving methodologies
•Proven ability to work in a team, be dynamic and adaptable, and drive change
•Professional English communication skills (written and spoken)
