Key Responsibilities

  • •Write Linux user space and kernel code to enable 32-bit drivers to DMA 64-bit virtual memory spaces using Intel and AMD IOMMU.
  • •Access ASIC registers over SPI, SMBus, PCIe, and I2C to implement sub-100ns timers and gather near-real-time information for packet flows and congestion statistics.
  • •Develop configuration management services using Go and Python for YANG/OpenConfig with NETCONF/RESTCONF over gRPC, ssh, and ssl, plus supporting tools.
  • •Develop routing protocol agents (BGP, OSPF, ISIS) in C/C++ within a Linux embedded environment, building fault-tolerant concurrent agents.
  • •Contribute to a fully automated, developer-owned Python continuous test harness with hundreds of devices under test at once.

Key Requirements

  • •Love and aptitude for programming with strong interest in C/C++.
  • •Experience or coursework in networking and networking fundamentals.
  • •Familiarity with Linux embedded systems and Linux user space/kernel concepts.
  • •Working knowledge of algorithms for performance-critical systems.
  • •Interest in hardware/software integration such as DMA and device-level interfaces.
