Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist and support food scientists and technicians on daily R&D projects.
  • •Complete data collection/entry, product evaluations, and hand sample tasks each day.

  • •Assist with pilot plant/plant trials as needed.
  • •Support cross-functional leaders to execute real-world work while demonstrating Tyson’s RIGHT Behaviors.

Key Requirements

  • •Must be in good standing and entering Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year, or pursuing master’s or Doctorate degree, with at least one year remaining.
  • •Prefer majors in Food Science, Animal Science, and other Agriculture and Business fields.
  • •Preferred: previous work experience, especially related to R&D and Food Science.
  • •Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Excel and familiarity with Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • •Must be able to work 40 hours through the summer and up to 25 hours throughout the school year.
