Key Responsibilities

  • •Bring independent, external challenge to strategy, risk, and conduct, and hold management to account on behalf of shareholders and stakeholders.
  • •Provide constructive challenge and strategic guidance to the Board, including scrutiny of management and executive performance against goals.
  • •Satisfy FSA expectations for board composition, competence, and fitness/propriety under the VASP Act, and provide required resident board presence in Seychelles.
  • •Promote the entity’s long-term sustainable success through oversight of purpose, values, strategy, controls, risk assessment, and integrity of financial information.
  • •Serve on required board committees and contribute to succession planning and appropriate executive director remuneration decisions.

Key Requirements

  • •Resident in Seychelles, currently holding the right to reside and work there.
  • •Able to satisfy the FSA fitness and propriety assessment.
  • •Board-level or senior governance experience in a regulated financial services, banking, insurance, fiduciary or corporate services business.
  • •Working knowledge of anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing obligations, and of the Seychelles regulatory environment.
  • •Fluent in English with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
