Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute Visa’s Government Solutions sales strategy across selected Western and Central Africa markets, identifying priority clients and solution opportunities to support revenue and market expansion.
  • •Originate opportunities enabling governments to use digital payments, wallets, and payments data to improve service delivery across sectors such as social protection, agriculture, health, education, mobility, and public finance.
  • •Build, manage, and advance public sector opportunity pipelines, including account planning, sales strategies, business cases, and value propositions; lead/support RFP development and proposal coordination.
  • •Establish and strengthen relationships with national, provincial, and local government stakeholders (ministries, regulators, public institutions) and navigate procurement processes from bid through award.
  • •Identify and engage ecosystem partners (issuers, processors, program managers, fintechs, technology providers) and support commercial strategies, milestones, and market activation objectives; collaborate cross-functionally to align on outreach and proposition roadmaps.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or 2 years with a PhD.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Public Policy, Public Administration, Technology, or a related field; MBA/relevant Master’s is an advantage.
  • •5-8 years of relevant experience in business development, enterprise sales, account management, or government solutions sales; ideally in payments/financial services/fintech/technology/public sector.
  • •Strong understanding of public sector institutions, procurement, and government decision-making; ability to influence stakeholders and originate opportunities in complex sales environments.
  • •Excellent written and spoken English required; French is an advantage.
