Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop project scope and coordinate specialists covering schedule, cost estimates, and engineering specifications for capital projects.
  • •Ensure installation, testing, commissioning into service, and project closeout are completed.
  • •Manage project expenditures and oversee cost-effective procurement of labor, equipment, and materials, including bid meetings/reviews and supplier selections/evaluations.
  • •Support day-to-day on-site construction management with general contractors and other contractors/service providers to complete work within approved budget.
  • •Communicate project status to stakeholders (typically executive level), manage risk, ensure safety/environmental/regulatory compliance, and maintain documentation/record keeping.

Key Requirements

  • •Complete large-size, high-rigor capital construction projects using formal project management methods across scope, scheduling, estimating, engineering, and closeout.
  • •8+ years of project management experience with a master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, construction management, project management, or business/management (or alternate education/experience tracks listed).
  • •Hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • •Experience managing capital projects preferred, including Electrical Distribution/Transmission, Gas, Industrial, or Power Generation (or equivalent utility/project management experience).
  • •Knowledge of PC/computer-based scheduling and financial tools (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Primavera, MS Project, SAP, Maximo) and strong written/verbal communications at all corporate levels.
