Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and execute electron optical simulations to analyze and predict SEM system behavior.
  • •Drive understanding and mitigation of imaging performance drifts and robustness challenges in collaboration with internal experts.
  • •Define, design, and validate diagnostics and control concepts for SEM/e-beam systems.
  • •Translate customer use cases and device requirements into concrete SEM performance targets.
  • •Initiate and guide experimental validation on ASML e-beam systems, acting as a technical authority and supporting knowledge sharing.

Key Requirements

  • •PhD or Master’s degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or Electrical Engineering, with strong focus on Scanning Electron Microscopy or electron optics.
  • •5–10 years of relevant experience in SEM/electron optics to drive electron optical modeling and simulation.
  • •Deep knowledge of SEM imaging physics and image processing, diagnostics, and control strategies.
  • •Ability to bridge theoretical modeling and experimental validation to improve system performance and robustness.
  • •Fluency in English and strong independent ownership of complex technical topics.
