Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead technical aspects of a sales cycle, from initial RFIs through RFPs/RFQs as required.
  • •Participate in and help manage POCs in partnership with internal teams and customer/commercial partners.
  • •Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers and partners alongside the sales partner.
  • •Position Fortinet solutions effectively, presenting via whiteboarding, technical white papers, technical plans, and customer discussions.
  • •Maintain accurate customer/prospect activity and account technical information in Salesforce while supporting multiple concurrent deals.

Key Requirements

  • •High aptitude for security technology, including encryption and authentication, with knowledge of network security, intrusion detection, and routing/switching (LAN/WAN desirable).
  • •Pre-sales engineer experience managing end-to-end technical aspects of deals through technical closure.
  • •Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to drive key wins.
  • •Ability to build and maintain customer relationships and communicate technical concepts to internal and external stakeholders.
  • •Strong understanding of RADIUS, PKI, IKE, certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, firewalls, and common security protocols/algorithms (e.g., 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES/3DES).
