Job Summary

Support day-to-day operations of the SolarWinds Orion monitoring platform, including onboarding new devices, validating configurations, and performing health checks and basic troubleshooting. Configure and maintain alert rules and thresholds, monitor and respond to alerts as part of L1/L2 support, and escalate complex issues. Create standard dashboards and generate performance and SLA-related reports, while collaborating on incident investigations and documentation under guidance.

Key Responsibilities

•Administer SolarWinds Orion for network and server monitoring, including supporting day-to-day operations.
•Onboard new devices and validate monitoring configurations.
•Perform routine health checks and basic troubleshooting for polling or data collection issues, escalating complex problems.
•Configure and maintain alert rules and threshold settings; monitor and respond to SolarWinds alerts as part of L1/L2 support.
•Create and maintain standard dashboards and generate basic performance, availability, and utilization reports for SLA tracking.

Key Requirements

•~3 years of experience in IT operations or monitoring tools.
•Hands-on exposure to the SolarWinds Orion platform, including Network Performance Monitor (NPM) and Server & Application Monitor (SAM).
•Basic understanding of SNMP, ICMP, and agent-less monitoring.
•Networking fundamentals (switches, routers, interfaces) and familiarity with alert configuration and threshold tuning.
•Exposure to ITSM tools such as ServiceNow is a plus.
