Key Responsibilities

  • •Rack and stack network devices and patch cables to customer equipment in data centers
  • •Install, troubleshoot, and de-install network equipment and related cabling; complete MAC requests within service levels
  • •Install power cables from equipment to power supply in rack/cabinet/closet and manage cabling
  • •Perform Layer 1 troubleshooting and support carrier testing of circuits
  • •Assist facilities efforts and interface with MAC/project management at the location

Key Requirements

  • •2-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a data center environment
  • •Proficient in installing and certifying structured cabling and patch panels
  • •Knowledge of IEEE and BICSI cabling standards; experience with copper and optical cabling
  • •Experience testing cables with a Fluke Versiv Mainframe
  • •Ability to lift heavy objects and work in data center/telecom closets; willingness to work nights/weekends
