Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate snack packaging machinery under general supervision to ensure safe, efficient, continuous production.
  • •Read production schedules, monitor codes/dates/prices, and maintain adequate roll stock and packaging materials for each machine.
  • •Adjust machine micro logic and perform machine setups, changeovers, procedural adjustments, sanitation cleanup, and shutdowns as needed.
  • •Monitor and adjust machines for proper cut off, end seals/back seals, standard speeds, weights, and product appearance; sort and rework acceptable product.
  • •Keep machines/work areas clean, report maintenance problems promptly, follow safety/hygiene procedures, and provide leadership/direction to the packaging line.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or GED and/or 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • •Ability to safely lift and move stock by hand or with manual equipment (including pallet jacks and forklifts).
  • •Ability to lift 40+ lbs regularly and occasionally lift/move more than 50+ lbs with mechanical or peer assistance.
  • •Ability to understand and operate packaging equipment, including setups, changeovers, running procedures, adjustments, sanitation cleanup, and shutdown.
  • •Ability to follow safety and hygiene guidelines/procedures for safe housekeeping and personal protection.
