Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide effective leadership and supervision to team members under direct supervision, ensuring maintenance is scheduled and any issues are escalated as required.
  • •Perform Rectifications Control tasks, including accurate maintenance and updating of ESS State Board progressing estimates and aircraft recovery time forecasts.
  • •Brief Part M organization and squadron authorised pilots on the Typhoon fleet status and aircraft limitations.
  • •Supervise completion of tasked maintenance and diagnostic activities (e.g., inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications, replacements, and functional/system tests).
  • •Ensure Part 145 activities and airworthiness records are maintained on relevant systems, support safety management and audit readiness, and manage responses to audit findings.

Key Requirements

  • •Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship (including City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 or equivalent), ideally in aeronautical engineering, or a relevant engineering degree.
  • •Minimum 2 years working at Supervisor level prior to undertaking this role.
  • •5 years practical experience applying aviation safety standards and operating practices, with 2 years relevant aircraft maintenance component environment experience.
  • •Demonstrable competence via a log book with skills, knowledge, and authorities for working on aircraft or in bays, including 6 months experience on type within the last two years.
  • •Human Factors, E&PW Awareness, and ITAR awareness training (standard courses), and IT literacy.
