Job Summary

Operate and maintain Kinder Morgan’s Tennessee Gas Pipeline (TGP) Mercer, Pennsylvania Compressor Station and related pipeline systems. You’ll run and adjust compressors, pumps, engines, valves, and process equipment, diagnose and repair equipment, and perform general upkeep including pipeline right-of-way maintenance. The role also includes handling after-hours callouts, overseeing third-party work, participating in safety and environmental programs, and completing required documentation and compliance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate and maintain pipelines, compressors and auxiliary equipment, engines, turbines, pump stations, dehydration equipment, process equipment, valves, seals, and related systems.
•Start, stop, and operate engines/pumps within defined operating parameters to ensure efficient equipment performance.
•Diagnose and repair engines, turbines, pumps, seals, valves, instruments, and maintain/repair valves, pipe, pipeline appurtenances, corrosion control protection systems, and measurement equipment.
•Perform general upkeep and maintenance of facilities and pipeline right-of-way, including excavating, repairing, coating, backfilling, concrete work, painting, building erection, and weed control.
•Participate in safety programs, perform governmental compliance activities, oversee construction/maintenance by third parties, train personnel as required, and complete documentation/record keeping.

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma or GED.
•Respond to and address after-hours callouts and emergencies (including after dark) while carrying a communication device.
•Have knowledge of compressor, pump stations, gas treatment, storage facilities, process plant, gather transmission, and pipeline system operations (plus).
•Be able to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and other diagrams.
•Possess a valid driver’s license and meet company insurability requirements (may be required to obtain/maintain CDL and job-required certifications).
