Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, develop, and optimize backend systems for real-time data processing and web services with reliability, latency, and cost as first-class constraints.
  • •Define and own SLIs and SLOs for Core API services, using error budgets to make stability/velocity tradeoffs.
  • •Build and maintain observability (metrics, structured logging, distributed tracing, and alerting) that targets user-visible symptoms.
  • •Participate in an on-call rotation, respond effectively during incidents, and lead blameless postmortems with follow-through on action items.
  • •Perform capacity planning, load testing, performance tuning, and deep dives to diagnose root causes and drive actionable improvements.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 150,000 - 200,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of backend development experience, including meaningful time operating what you built in production.
  • •Formal SRE practice experience, including error budget policies, capacity models, production readiness reviews, and chaos/fault-injection testing.
  • •Strong backend experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable systems, especially APIs and real-time data processing.
  • •Proficiency in Go and/or Node.js, with hands-on experience running production services using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • •Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform or AWS CloudFormation), observability tooling (e.g., Datadog), and SQL with databases like DynamoDB, Redis, or Elasticsearch.
