Key Responsibilities

  • •Verify instruments, levels, and operation of main and auxiliary machines and equipment of the Machinery Department, and report any anomalies or incidents immediately to the engineering watch officer.
  • •Assist ship officers and ground-support and workshop teams with maintenance and repairs onboard, for both the vessel and barges.
  • •Perform cleaning and painting services for machinery and engine-room equipment.
  • •Keep spare parts, assigned elements, materials, and tools organized for the Machinery Department.
  • •Know and comply with Integrated Management System policies, including the Alcohol and Drugs policy, and the company’s current operating and safety procedures.
