Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, implement, and operate AI safety detectors for enterprise AI use cases, including prompt injection/jailbreak detection and sensitive data and harmful content detection.
  • •Implement detector pipelines with rules, machine learning models, LLM-based evaluators, and third-party safety services, including interfaces, confidence scoring, and policy-driven actions.
  • •Deliver guardrail evaluation workflows, including offline test sets, online validation, threshold tuning, regression checks, and false positive/negative analysis.
  • •Design end-to-end protection patterns for retrieval-augmented generation, coding assistants, and agent systems across upload, retrieval, prompt, response, logging, and tool execution layers.
  • •Build policy enforcement and observability/governance capabilities for AI safety, and partner with platform, infrastructure, security, and AI teams to productionize guardrails with scalable rollout and operational controls.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience with strong distributed, cloud-native backend engineering in production.
  • •Hands-on experience building and operating production AI safety, guardrail, content safety, trust & safety, or AI risk detection systems.
  • •Practical experience in prompt injection detection, jailbreak defense, PII/sensitive data detection, content safety, policy violation/response validation, system prompt leakage detection, and/or agent safety controls.
  • •Experience implementing detection approaches such as rule engines/regex, named entity recognition, classifiers, LLM-as-judge patterns, or hybrid detector ensembles.
  • •Strong evaluation and measurement knowledge for safety systems, including offline/online evaluation, precision/recall/threshold design, and human review workflows.
