Job Summary

Operate a packer (and related equipment such as a palletizer) to bag, weigh, and prepare product, ensuring production reports are completed accurately. Monitor machine operation and review products for defects, inconsistencies, or abnormal appearance to meet quality requirements. Perform routine machine maintenance, clean up spills, maintain housekeeping, and assist other operators with setups as needed. May also operate a forklift or other mobile equipment.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate a packer machine to bag and prepare product, including weighing bags to ensure proper weight.
•Prepare palletizer or packer equipment for start up and support machine setup for production.
•Complete specified paperwork to generate production reports.
•Observe machine operation and inspect product for defects, inconsistencies, or abnormal appearance to meet quality requirements.
•Perform routine machine maintenance, clean up material spills, maintain housekeeping, and operate forklift/mobile equipment as needed.
