Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure the highest level of workplace safety and prioritize team well-being.
  • •Provide direction, training, and support to maintenance personnel and foster a collaborative culture.
  • •Collaborate cross-functionally (including Production) to achieve safety, quality, cost, delivery, and employee engagement targets.
  • •Implement and optimize the Canfor Operating System (COS), emphasizing proactive abnormality response.
  • •Develop, implement, and refine preventative maintenance programs, budgets, and cost control while ensuring compliance with environmental permits and regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in industrial sawmilling maintenance, including significant supervisory experience.
  • •Trade certification as a Millwright or Electrician, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • •Proven expertise in safety management, leadership, and team development.
  • •Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a talent for fostering cohesive, high-performing teams.
  • •Extensive experience with CMMS and preventative maintenance program development; ideally experience with vibration analysis/predictive maintenance and failure analysis/lubrication.
