Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide oversight for collecting, identifying, and compiling environmental data from samples of air, soil, water, sludge, and other matrices.
  • •Perform complex environmental engineering work and lead investigations and inspections for air emission sources, hazardous or solid waste facilities, water supply facilities, pollution sources, and site conditions.
  • •Lead environmental site assessments (Phase I and II) and support engineering review of permit applications, design plans/specifications, standby plans, and integrated waste management plans.
  • •Ensure technical reports and presentations communicate findings and recommendations to prevent, control, restore, or address environmental issues and long-term risks.
  • •Lead larger-scale engineering projects, including supervising subcontractors, contract work, and employees; prepare and oversee project budgets; and monitor hours and expenses.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, Sanitary, Chemical, Industrial, Agricultural, or Public Health Engineering (or closely related field).
  • •10+ years of relevant post-education experience in environmental engineering.
  • •Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
  • •Advanced knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
  • •Proven experience conducting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM guidelines.
