Job Summary

Own machine risk assessments and safeguarding specifications for robotic work cells, AGVs, conveyance systems, and cobot deployments. •Own machine risk assessments for robotic work cells, AGVs, conveyance systems, and cobot deployments, specifying safeguarding controls.
•Lead incident investigations using 5-Why and fault tree analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions to closure, including OSHA record-keeping liaison duties.
•Chair the Joint Health and Safety Committee, run routine inspection walkthroughs and Gemba observations, and report safety KPIs to plant leadership monthly.
•Partner with engineering during equipment commissioning and capital projects to integrate safety-by-design and validate lockout and tag out procedures.
•Own the manufacturing safety program budget and third-party safety consultant relationships, and manage and develop safety specialists and technicians.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 105,000 - 140,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Conduct machine risk assessments per ANSI/RIA R15.06 and R15.08, ISO 10218-1/2, ISO/TS 15066, or the ANSI B11 series and translate findings into safeguarding specs engineering can build.
•Have a technical engineering background in occupational safety, industrial, mechanical, chemical, environmental, or a closely related field.
•Manage and develop safety specialists, coordinators, or technicians, and own a program budget and vendor relationships.
•Lead root-cause investigations using 5-Why or fault tree analysis and close corrective actions.
•Serve as the site point of contact for OSHA or a state-plan (ADOSH) inspection, closing findings without repeat citations.
