Job Summary

Operate and support rendering production by unloading and washing trailers/tankers/reefers, monitoring cookers, and maintaining plant cleanliness. Load trucks, maintain the control room, and complete accurate paperwork, while performing lubrication checks, oil/belt changes, equipment PM, and auger inspections. Assist maintenance as needed while following Tyson safety culture, policies, and procedures, including safe work practices in a loud, hot, and physically demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture while supporting production operations in a safe environment.
•Unload and wash trailers, tankers, and reefers; monitor cookers and wash all plant areas.
•Load trucks, maintain the control room, and complete accurate paperwork.
•Perform routine equipment maintenance including lubrication checks, oil and belt changes, PM, and auger inspections.
•Assist maintenance as needed while adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 18.95 - 25.8 hourly

Key Requirements

•Mechanical/maintenance skills listed in the work history or skills section on the application.
•Willing to work shift A, B, C, or D and be 18 years of age.
•Ability to perform physical requirements (standing long periods, lifting up to 60 pounds, shoveling, and climbing stairs/ladders up to 30 feet) in extreme conditions.
•Maintain clean work areas using soap and high-pressure water hose (30+ pounds of pressure).
•Obtain certification to operate a forklift or skid-steer loader and perform basic mechanical/maintenance skills (hand tools, mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, welding/fabrication, wiring, motor controls, conveyor maintenance) plus basic computer skills.
