Job Summary

Develop and deliver production-focused consulting projects in partnership with international clients. You will design production strategies, optimize production networks and material/product costs end-to-end, and identify improvement potential and synergies across value creation. The role leverages digitalization and solutions such as Industry 4.0/IIoT, advanced manufacturing, factory planning, and data/AI-driven approaches to improve manufacturing performance and organization.

Key Responsibilities

•Consult with international clients on production topics across strategy, network optimization, and plant performance using the Roland Berger SOP Framework.
•Develop production strategies and design future-oriented production approaches with global project teams.
•Holistically and cross-functionally optimize material and product costs to improve performance outcomes.
•Identify and implement improvement opportunities and synergies across client value creation.
•Advance client processes and organizational structures by applying digitalization and data/AI-based solution approaches.

Key Requirements

•Strong degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a university or reputable technical college.
•Several years of production experience in areas such as process optimization, production planning, Lean Manufacturing, production network optimization, and Industry 4.0/IIoT/Cloud.
•Project management experience and familiarity with industries such as automotive manufacturing/suppliers, energy plant construction, large motors, turbo equipment, machine tools, and metal production/processing.
•First leadership experience in production and supply chain settings.
•Excellent analytical and conceptual abilities, with strategic and entrepreneurial thinking; fluent German and English and international experience.
