Job Summary

Maintain and repair light, medium, and heavy vehicles and trailers to ensure safe, cost-effective fleet operations. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, fuel, steering, hydraulic, braking, and HVAC issues; perform preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and environmental/safety compliance. Track repairs with DVIR and shop orders, record time and parts used, and support training and assisting other mechanics as needed in a fast-paced transportation environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform repairs and maintenance work safely and efficiently to keep the fleet operating.
•Diagnose problems, test repairs, and complete removal and replacement of components.
•Maintain vehicles by performing all phases of preventive maintenance and necessary mechanical repairs.
•Follow safety, housekeeping, and all company policies and procedures; support environmental law compliance and reporting.
•Record time spent and parts used, provide parts lists to the lead technician, and assist/train other mechanics as required.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 24.15

Key Requirements

•High school diploma (or GED) and 1+ years of related industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing experience, or 4 years of direct diesel mechanic experience.
•Vocational/technical diploma or associate degree in technical maintenance or vocational school (preferred).
•Advanced knowledge of a vehicle’s electrical system and the diesel engine’s mechanisms.
•Ability to run diagnostic tests and test-drive vehicles while maintaining detailed service records.
•Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (CDL-A preferred) and basic computer skills.
