Job Summary

Deliver science-based industrial hygiene expertise to protect worker health across ConocoPhillips Australia operations. Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and project stakeholders to assess HSE risks, coordinate health risk assessments and management of change reviews, support incident investigations, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry best practices. Lead program elements of the ABU Operating Management System, ensure quality of analytical services, and coach health professionals while promoting continuous improvement and a learner mindset.

•Deliver high-quality industrial hygiene services across ABU operations to meet operational needs and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practices.
•Coordinate health risk assessments for new/modified facilities, management of change (MOC) reviews, and projects.
•Ensure quality assurance of industrial hygiene and analytical services.
•Coach and mentor health professionals and act as a subject matter expert across disciplines.
•Participate in incident investigations and reviews to identify effective corrective actions and support emergency response activities when required.

Key Requirements

•Tertiary qualification (bachelor’s degree or higher) in Industrial/Occupational Hygiene or a related science discipline.
•3+ years of industrial hygiene experience, preferably in oil and gas or a comparable high-risk industry.
•Thorough understanding of local and regional legislative requirements for workplace health and safety.
•Proven experience implementing worker health protection programs with measurable outcomes.
•Proficiency using new technologies for data analytics solutions and strong communication/time management skills.
